      Video Won't Play

      The Situation
You've signed-in to our online classroom to take a course. You've launched a video, and it won't play.

There are many possibilities for why videos won't play. We've collected the most common causes with suggested solutions. In some cases, you might need to ask for assistance from your corporate IT department.

      Note:
This article will address computers running Microsoft Windows.

      Background
We explain the possibilities by categorizing them into 3 large buckets:
      • The software being used
      • The corporate enterprise IT system & configuration
      • The computer being used
      Your Software
      • Adobe Flash player
      • The web browser
        • Make sure that the latest version of your browser is installed
      • Ad blocking software - Try turning ad-blocking off
      Your Corporate IT System
      • Try this easy test
        • Take our course on your home personal computer. If you're successful, it suggests that the corporate hardware/software systems are the culprit.
      • White listing
        • Outside entities can be blocked from a corporate system. Approved entities might appear on a company's "white list." Ask your IT department if this is the case, and how our domain and/or IP address can be added, in order for the video feed to get through.
      • Virus scanning & content filtering
        • Ask your IT department if outside video content is being scanned/filtered, and preventing the videos from playing.
      Your Computer
      • Reboot your computer
        • As you are opening and closing programs, your computer may or may not relinquish system resources used by these programs which can result in quirky behavior, including locking up, because the computer is not fully utilizing all of its available resources.
      • Try using another computer.
      • Graphics hardware and associated display drivers must be up to date AND working.

      Situation:

      Solution:
After you register and pay for a course (in the CVENT payment system), you're sent an email containing instructions and a(n):
      • Enrollment Key - use this when trying to enter the course classroom for the first time. You'll be prompted for the Enrolment Key.

      SITUATION
      • You registered for one of our courses using our CVENT online registration service, and you have not yet received a Registration Confirmation by email.

      BACKGROUND

I am asked for a password to open the CBT programs I downloaded.

Problem: This is an artifact of the zip and unzip function and working with modified autorun files that are packaged with the programs.

Resolution: If you are presented with the option to skip that file, do so.

      Monday, June 1, 2009

I can't play my CBT Programs on my DVD Player.

Problem: I try to view my CBT programs that I received on CD on my DVD player at home or at the office and it does not work.

Resolution: These CBT programs are not designed to play on a DVD through your television. They are designed for play on your corporate Intranet or from a CD on a PC.

Enrolment is spelled wrong on the sign in page

Why is the word "enrol" misspelled on your classroom website.

        Trivia:
Only in the United States, is it spelled wrong. The software developers are from Australia and they spell enroll and enrollment with only one "L".

Thanks for calling it to our attention, we accept all suggestions for improvement. You may also notice that the Categorize was spelled differently also.

        Never got an enrollment key

I never got an enrollment key.

        Hot Tip
On the "Enrolment options" page, you might have to scroll down to "Self enrolment (Student)" in order to type the enrollment key into the "Enrolment key" entry box.

        Likely Solution:
Check your SPAM folder for an email from CVENT. If it isn't there go to the next step.

        My enrollment key doesn't work
        • The enrollment key must match exactly as it appears in the e-mail confirmation. The enrollment key is not the word "exactly".
        • Capital letters must be capitalized, and lowercase letters must be in lowercase.
        • Type a space if there is a space between words.
        • If it has been a very long time since you logged into a course, the enrollment key could have been changed.
If you still need help: 1) call us at (415) 948-5220

        Don't use the confirmation number
If you're prompted for an enrollment key, and entered the confirmation number, you won't be able to get into the online classroom to take the class. After paying, our CVENT payment system should email both: 1) an Enrollment Key - use this when trying to enter the course classroom for the first time, and 2) a Confirmation Number - this is a transaction reference number. This is not the enrollment key.

        I need an enrollment key

        My enrollment key doesn't work
        • The enrollment key must match exactly as it appears in the e-mail confirmation.
        • Include spaces, if there is a space between words.
        • Capital letters must be capitalized, and lowercase letters must be in lowercase.
        • If it has been a very long time since you logged into a course, the enrollment key could have been changed.
        • If you still need help:  call us at (415) 948-5220

        Don't use the confirmation number
If you're prompted for an enrollment key, and entered the confirmation number, you won't be able to get into the online classroom to take the class. After paying, our CVENT payment system should email both:
        1. an Enrollment Key - use this when trying to enter the course classroom for the first time, and
        2. a Confirmation Number - this is a transaction reference number. This is not the enrollment key.

        I need an enrollment key
Okay, we can help. Please send us an email request that includes your full name, and we'll email the enrollment key to you. Send an email to us at:    skillsplus@aol.com

Never received instructions for signing into my class

I never got instructions for signing into my class.

          Likely Solution:
When you complete course registration through our CVENT online registration service, you should expect to get a Registration Confirmation (containing the course enrollment key) by email within about 15 minutes.

The registration confirmation email also contains instructions on how to enter the classroom, to take the course that you bought.

If you didn't get a Registration Confirmation email within 15 minutes of registration, then:

          • Try looking in your Spam, Junk, and other email folders
          • If you still don't see it, give us a call, (415) 948-5220

          Password is not accepted

The course site does not accept my password.

          Likely Solution:

          2. The text format is usually all lower case letters.
          3. If you set up your own Password, the Password must match exactly as you originally entered it.

          1. Select a new Username, perhap add a unique number after the name.
          2. If our office set up your student account, then the Username must match exactly that which was provided to your corporate contact.
          3. The text format is usually all lower case letters.

Certificates for Exemptee and Designated Rep Course

I want to print my personal certificate but I can't find a way to do that.

The California Board of Pharmacy and the Department of Public Health each require that a SkillsPlus agent sign the documents in ink. As soon as you complete the final topic (requesting your completion certificates), we will send the documents to you.

Here’s How We’ll Send Your Completion Certificates

At a minimum (on a weekly basis), we process requests for training documentation received by 12 noon (PT) on Friday; after that 12 noon (PT) Friday deadline, your certificate will be delayed to the following week. The completion documents that we process are dropped off with FedEx on Monday.

As a part of the basic course registration fee, all certificates will be sent via FedEx Express Saver (typically delivered within 3 business days); this means our weekly shipments initiated on Monday, typically arrive on Thursday. During registration, you will have the option to request faster FedEx delivery methods for an additional charge (FedEx overnight is typically delivered by the close of the next business day). If FedEx overnight delivery is not available in your area, then the FedEx package  would be delivered on the 2nd day.

If you didn’t choose a faster FedEx delivery method initially, you can arrange for it, for an additional charge. Just contact us by:

BTW, Flash was previously a dominant platform for online multimedia content, it is slowly being abandoned as Adobe favors a transition to HTML5, or other platforms. Flash Player has been deprecated and has an official end-of-life on December 31, 2020,
