Class starts to launch, but nothing happens - Security

The class starts to launch and nothing happens or the screen freezes before anything happens.

Likely Cause: 
  • This can be caused by new security features from Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer. You might see a warning in the yellow bar at the top of your screen.

Likely Solution: Add the Adobe site to your approved sites. Follow these suggestions.
  • Click the Settings button to launch Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager.
  • Select Always allow
  • Browse to the folder where you store the published output of Articulate Quizmaker and Articulate Presenter.
  • Add both folder locations to the trusted content locations. (If you change your published output location, you will need to add the new location to this list.)
  • Close all browser windows and re-launch your e-learning course, presentation, or quiz.

The class starts to launch and nothing happens or the screen freezes before anything happens.

Likely Cause: This can be caused by too many temporary files on your PC. This is a known issue when upgrading to Flash Player 10.0.42.xx.

Likely Solution:
Clear out the cache. This is easy.

  1. Clear the cache
  2. Click on Tools on the IE menu bar.
  3. Click on Internet Options
  4. Click on the General Tab
  5. Click on Delete Files
  6. Check for the current flash player

You may need to upgrade to the most current version of Adobe Flash Player.

CD CBT Programs Suddenly Stop Playing

Q. Why are my presentations starting to load but do not play? They used to play.


Likely Cause: Earlier versions of our CBT programs do not play nicely with Flash Player 10 or higher.
